The Pechanga Fire Station on the Pechanga Resort Casino grounds is one of the many Spark of Love drop off locations. Pechanga also donates 1,000 turkeys to regional food banks and rescue missions for the holidays each year. Pechanga has donated toys to the Spark of Love Toy Drive for several years now and also regularly donates funds and toys to the U.S. They were then turned over to go straight into a deserving child’s hands for the holidays. Pechanga volunteers who shopped for the toys estimate there were 350 items aboard the Pechanga fire truck. The toys were previously loaded onto the truck from Pechanga in Temecula and given that morning to ABC7’s Spark of Love Toy Drive in conjunction with Toys for Tots. In the cold, early morning hours on Friday, December 6, and with TV cameras looking in, Pechanga Fire Department firefighters opened the doors to one of their shiny fire trucks to reveal more than $3,000 worth of toys stuffed in there.
